THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INTEREST IN BEING AN EXTRA!
Here is how the process works...
Step 1:
Submit a headshot to [email protected].
Step 2: Come to one of our open calls.
Information on open calls will be located under the "open call info" tab. An open call is for you to come in for us to meet you and for you to fill out papers for our file. You have a better chance of being hired if you come to an open call but you are not out of the running if you don't. As long as we have your information, picture, and the audition forms in our email, you may still be considered.
Step 3: Being selected
Unfortunately, we will not be able to hire everyone as extras, but if you are booked you will receive an email prior to your shoot date.
CONFIRMING YOUR SPOT
When we book you, you will receive at least 2 emails: a “Booking Email” and a "Call Info Email."
The "Booking Email" is just a formal email stating that you are booked to work on an upcoming shoot day. It will have your day and any other information that we can offer you at the time.
The next and most important email is the “Call Info Email.” This email will contain all of the information for your shoot day including: Location, Call Time, and a Map. You must then REPLY DIRECTLY TO THAT EMAIL with your contact information.
YOU MUST CONFIRM via email TO BOTH EMAILS that you received this information! Otherwise, your spot will be forfeited.
Warning: You will most likely not get this information until 12 hours before you are called to set. In the booking email, we can give you a general time and so forth but we won't have the exact time and day until the day before when we get it from the higher ups.
Step 4: Working on Set
CHECK-IN: When you arrive you will check in with a Production Assistant and fill out a voucher. Have your state ID and SSN handy. This voucher is how you get paid!
TRANSPORTATION: We shoot all over the Cincinnati area. Transportation IS NOT provided, so do not submit yourself if you do not have your own reliable form of transportation.
CLOTHES: Please remember to bring all clothing and make-up that will be sent in the booking email.
TIME: Days on set can be long or short, though a typical shoot day lasts 12 hours. Some days you may only be needed for one scene; regardless of how long you are required to stay, you will be paid for a full day's work.
DISCLAIMER: There is some adult content in the movie. This movie takes place on a college campus, there will be depictions of partying, drinking, smoking and so forth. But there will be no actual alcohol on set.
DO’s and DON’Ts on Set.
DO be on set by your call time.
DO come to set having eaten breakfast. Also, bring snacks to keep with you.
DO follow any of the directions that the crew gives you.
DO stay in designated areas (“Extras Holding”) as a group. Do not wander off. If you need to leave the set to use the restroom you must ask the extras coordinator or a production assistant.
DO remain quiet in or around the set at all times and make sure your cell phone is OFF in a bag back in holding.
DO bring a book or something to do quietly, as you will have a lot of down time.
DON’T speak to the actors, director, or assistant directors, unless they speak to you first. They are extremely busy. You are there to WORK and so are they!
DON'T leave set until dismissed by the extras coordinator. You are there the whole day. You will not be able to leave at any point so please schedule off work, school, etc for the full day.
DON’T take photos or post anything on social media about what you are filming. You will be asked to leave immediately without pay. This is a respect to the production and the designers of the show.
DON’T look into the camera unless told to do so by the director or an assistant director.
DON’T speak during a scene unless directed to do so by one of the directors.
DON’T bring valuables to set. The space on set is very tight so please so not bring an expansive amount of belongings. The production company for lost or stolen items.
